We’ve all heard it before…

TimeIsMoney1

But have you ever sat down, gotten quiet, and thought about it? People say it, so it must be true, right?

During the last launch of my Time Abundance Program (Next one coming up soon!!!) it was shocking to me to learn just how  many women view time as an enemy. Do you?

If you resonate with any of the following, time may NOT be on your side (and it’s TIME to do something about it)…

You feel like your list is never ending
You are exhausted at the end of day, wondering what you even accomplished
You feel like there is a lot of “wasted time” throughout your day and wish there were a way to get more done

Any of that sound familiar? Trust me, I can relate.

My goal for this post is for you to come away with a better understanding of your relationship with time and perhaps a few time abundance tips and tricks!

First, let’s get a firm grasp on our relationship with time…
Let’s try something. It will only take a moment and you can do it while you read this post. (In others words, I won’t take up too much of your money…I mean time)

Here we go…
Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. Some of you may find this easy, others may find it comical, or perhaps you find it down right unrealistic…whatever your feelings are on it, imagine as best you can $86,400 being deposited into your account.
It carries over no balance from day to day (no rollover bucks here) and every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do??
DUH! Draw out EVERY cent, of course!

Okay, here’s where it gets cool…each of us has such a bank, and its name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as a loss, whatever of this you failed to invest to a good purpose.
Are you adding up your money (I mean minutes) yet?!?
It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is ultimately yours.

Are you SPENDING all your hard earned minutes or are you letting them go to waste?
There is no drawing against ‘tomorrow.’ You must live in the present on today’s deposit.
Invest it and you’ll get from it the utmost health, happiness, and health.

So….
Does time really equal money or does it equal something of even greater value?
Okay, by now you know what your real relationship with time looks like.

Let’s get on to your tips and tricks…

The clock is running…
Make the most of today. And everyday. And every penny!

My office makeover, using Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of keeping the ‘chi’ (energy) flowing. Katie Rogers took me by the hand and led me on a fun journey, helping me see the problem areas and the easy solutions.

BEFORE  – Smessy officeee how my desk chair faces into a corner? And the gold ‘earth’ color walls dam the flow of energy and money. Trust me, this is not ideal for a home office!

BEFORE  – I was a stacker.  Office - No creative flowEach project was in a neat pile, but my energy was constantly being pulled from one task to another.  (ugh) So hard to focus. I felt scattered. No wonder I avoided being in my office.

AFTEROffice - AFTER (2)

See the ‘water’ color walls? The paint is Artesian Well by Martha Stewart Living, at Home Depot. I took everything out of the room and only put back what supports me and brings me joy. Do you like the watercolor I did of an elephant family?

Now my office is like a 3-D vision board.

It feels great to have my desk chair face the front door of our house.  Katie, my Feng Shui goddess, calls this the Command position. And the leafy green tree is in the ‘money corner’ of the room.

I hung a crystal in the window so rainbows dance across the walls all morning. Pretty. Now I love-love-love being in my office and my creativity (and finances) are thriving. Yay for Feng Shui!

How big is your money mindset?

How big is your money mindset?

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of spending three days in California brainstorming new business ideas.  I was with a small group that included several millionaires and a billionaire.

What intrigued me was how kind, funny and generous they were. Hanging out with them blasted the old idea I had about rich people being “snooty”.

Even though I felt waaay out of their league, I rustled up some courage to ask each one of them:

“What’s the Number 1 thing that’s helped you have financial success?”

I thought they’d say something about years of hard work. Making smart investments. Knowing the right people.

What they DID say surprised me:

1.  Everything I do and every transaction I do is increasing the flow of abundance for everyone. You are doing a service to someone when you give them an opportunity to flow money to you.   Derek Rydall – The Law of Emergence

2.     2. I trust my intuition. I Trust that the Universe is providing what I need. I focus on service and love. Michael Stratford

M    3. My mind expands about money as I think about bigger amounts of money. I start accepting and receiving in bigger numbers. When I  take a leap of faith, the Universe conspires to help. Christian Mickelsen

Are you aware of any limiting beliefs about money?

Do you believe that how you think and feel about money is just as important as how you earn it?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment below.
